From its culturally diverse nature to its dedication to Iranian customs, the Farsi School of Houston welcomes people of all backgrounds to participate in learning the beautiful language of Farsi. It was established in 1992 with the purpose of accommodating absolutely anyone and everyone interested in learning Farsi. We offer a wide array of classes for those with a fairly basic Farsi background to those who have none at all.
Classes are also offered for adults and children who are at entry-level in Farsi speech; these classes are focused mainly on basic Farsi conversation and vocabulary.

Other activities throughout the year include the celebration of Norooz and a graduation party. Those students who pass the 5th grade level Farsi exam can also qualify to waive foreign language credit in high school/college.
Apart from teaching students to speak the language, we also educate them about Iranian culture. We, at the Farsi School of Houston, feel it is necessary for our students to be well versed in Iran’s society; our Iranian students can forge a connection with their homeland, and our other students without the Persian background can learn about a rich culture which they would not otherwise learn in America.
